Boar tells the history of boars in North America after their introduction through colonialism. Moving between past and present, the poems follow not only the first thirteen boars that were brought across the Atlantic but also the people around them, from a conquistador hunting them as food to a little girl watching hordes of them stampede in the distance. The poetry is formally inventive, intellectually curious, and avoids the left hand margin.
