Jason Dean Spence has worked and volunteered at the Dream Team, CAMH, and other mental health organizations for years. He was awarded a 2015 public service award from the CMHA, Toronto, for his contributions to the mental health sector.
He received his B.A. in English from York University (2000) and his Master of Professional Communication from Toronto Metropolitan University (2016) where his major research paper (thesis) explored organizational storytelling. Additionally, he has certificates in creative writing from the Humber School for Writers (2010) and the University of Toronto (2022). He’s also a member of the League of Canadian Poets.
