Nash Lott

Nash Lott

If you were to journey the road taken by many poets, cobbled with MFAs and PhDs, you would not cross paths with Nash Lott; his is a circuitous route. Pressure-extruded and ill-formed by the machine of public school, his way of expression seemed a bright flame society worked relentlessly to extinguish.

In time, Nash explored creativity as an artist-blacksmith. He found poetry in 2007 when, at a multi-craft school, the school’s director captivated artists, nightly, with his poems.

After diagnoses of ADHD at forty-six and autism at fifty-five, Nash was able to reckon with the complexities of his neurodivergence. Harnessing his mercurial nature, he took a life-long love of language and began to unlock sounds and textures.

After saving the world, Nash would like a cabin by a lake in the woods; he’s not expecting the cabin any time soon.

Sheet Music for Controlled Chaos is the debut chapbook of this AuDHD poet.
