Sue Sinclair grew up in Newfoundland and Labrador on the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk. She has published seven collections of poetry, including Heaven’s Thieves (2016), which won the Pat Lowther Award for the best book of poetry by a Canadian woman, and Almost Beauty: New and Selected Poems (2022), winner of the NB Poetry Book Award. Her latest full-length collection is New-Fangled Rose (2026). Sinclair edits for Brick Books and The Fiddlehead, and teaches creative writing at the University of New Brunswick in Wolastokuk.
