Virgil Burnett is an author-illustrator whose work has been widely published on this continent and in Europe. Some of his projects include illustrations for Sir Gwain and the Green knight, the The Folio Society: London, England) as well as short stories Towers at the edge of the world and novella The Comedy of Eros. He was a member of the Fine Arts faculty of the University of Waterloo.
He died June 8, 2012. After his death he continues to inspire students through the scholarship award in his name.
